The Work Of Amy V. Dewhurst
Amy V. Dewhurst learned filmmaking from legends including Sydney Pollack (The Interpreter), and Martin Scorsese (The Departed). She assisted director Kirsten Sheridan (In America) on the Academy Award nominated August Rush. She was hired by its’ producer, Richard B. Lewis (Backdraft) for feature film development.
For more than a decade Dewhurst has been a features editor at LA YOGA magazines, writing in-depth profile pieces on some of the most interesting voices in music, film, television, business, environmentalism, sports, politics/veterans, spirituality and of course…yoga.
Since 2019 Amy has been part of the production team of the annual Milken Global Conference Wellness Garden at the Beverly Hilton. For 11 years she was a consulting producer of the yoga and music festival, Bhakti Fest in Joshua Tree California. Amy co-produced The Boxer Podcast at The Wrap’s Power Women in Hollywood event, and Congressman Tim Ryan’s Real Food Revolution book launch at Deepak’s Homebase in ABC Carpet and Home in New York City. In a pre-pandemic era Amy was the spirituality curator at Soho House/Little Beach House Malibu.
Dewhurst was honored to work with Ram Dass and his Love, Serve, Remember Foundation on many of the luminaries’ last projects. They include; editing the book Conversations with Ram Dass, co-producing the album Taos Hanuman, and co-producing the Becoming Nobody film premiere in partnership with Google Empathy Labs.
She writes, produces, consults and makes magic on mission-based projects.
